Monthly Board / Training rates effective July 2010:
$1150 - Full Board / Training / Backing – Includes full board (see below) with 5 schooling sessions per week
OR backing/training a young horse.
$975 - Full Board / Training – Includes full board (see below) with 4 schooling sessions per week.
$875 - Full Board / Training – Includes full board (see below) with 3 schooling sessions per week.
$425 - Full Board / May – Oct – Includes full daily care, hay, grain, stall and turnout, see below.
$475 - Full Board / Nov - April – Includes full daily care, hay, grain, stall and turnout, see below.
$70/hr - Off farm Training – I will travel to you within 45 minute drive.
$85/hr - Off farm Training - I will travel to you 45-75 minute drive. Over 75 minutes price to be negotiated.
$60/hr - On farm Training – You travel to me.
Schooling sessions done in 60’x100’ outdoor sand ring – no indoor.
The monthly care covered by the full board fee consists of the following:
Daily feeding
Grain: 3 feedings per day (Buckeye brand feeds) or you may provide your own brand.
Hay: 2 feedings per day in stall, outside hay as needed based on season and pasture.
Water: One bucket in stall, refilled as needed. Large gallon capacity buckets in pastures, refilled as needed. Warm water during the cold weather.
Other
Housing: Indoor Stall 11’x12’6” in 36’ x 70’ log barn. All stalls have full rubber mats, grills on fronts, solid 2”x 6” tongue & groove southern yellow pine board walls. 12’ wide aisle with full rubber mats. Separate heated tack room with saddle & bridle racks, sink and toilet.
Stall Cleaning: Cleaned daily
Turnout: All day in grass pasture. Separate from other horses, if requested.
Horse Care: Blankets, boots and other horse clothing put on or taken off as requested. Fly spray applied daily or as requested,
fly masks put on/off, etc.
Other general daily care as needed.
Items NOT covered by board fee and to be paid/provided by boarder:
Blacksmith/Farrier*
Veterinarian, Massage, Chiropractor*
Supplements, Vitamins, Treats, Dewormer
All other daily items needed (fly spray, fly masks, boots, blankets, etc.)
Any items not specifically listed under monthly care section above.
*Owner’s own vet, farrier etc. can be used. Advance notice needed if horse needs to be put in stall prior to vet, farrier etc. arriving.
